About Springboard

Springboard is an Individualized Training Program vendored by the Far Northern Regional Center. We wholeheartedly embrace individuals who have encountered barriers in accessing traditional day program or work program services, whether due to denial or expulsion. Our unwavering commitment lies in serving the marginalized and underserved members of our community, enriching their lives by providing meaningful social and work opportunities. Inspired by the exclusion faced by lower-functioning individuals with disabilities, Springboard's name represents our dual purpose: to act as a launchpad for personal growth, akin to the transformative season of spring.

How to Enroll

Introduction: We at Springboard Program are dedicated to providing specialized services tailored to individuals with disabilities. Our comprehensive approach focuses on community integration, individual training, and extensive staff support.

  1. Initial Contact The first step for families interested in our program is to reach out to their child's Service Coordinator at the Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC). The Service Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating services for your child.
  2. Requesting Services You will need to express your interest in enrolling your child in the Springboard Program. Clearly communicate to the Service Coordinator that you believe our program aligns well with your child's needs and goals.
  3. Formal Request Ask the Service Coordinator to initiate a referral process to our program. This involves the Service Coordinator formally submitting a request to the Far Northern Regional Center for your child to be considered for enrollment in Springboard.
  4. Assessment and Approval Once the referral is submitted, the regional center will review it. This may include assessing your child's needs and ensuring our program is the right fit. The Service Coordinator will keep you informed throughout this process.
  5. Enrollment Upon approval, we will work closely with you and the Service Coordinator to complete the enrollment process, ensuring a smooth transition for your child into the Springboard Program.
